CREAMY GARLIC BUTTER PARMESAN CHICKEN

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the Chicken:
    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
    • Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
    • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
  3. Make the Creamy Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
    • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  4. Add Cheese and Seasoning:
    • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning (if using), and red pepper flakes (if desired). Mix well until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  5. Return Chicken to Skillet:
    • Add the cooked chicken breasts back into the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Let everything simmer together for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  6. Garnish and Serve:
    • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
