Instructions:
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Cook the Chicken:
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
- Make the Creamy Sauce:
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Add Cheese and Seasoning:
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning (if using), and red pepper flakes (if desired). Mix well until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Return Chicken to Skillet:
- Add the cooked chicken breasts back into the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Let everything simmer together for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
- Enjoy:
- Serve the creamy garlic butter Parmesan chicken over pasta, rice, or with a side of vegetables for a delicious meal!
