Instructions
- Prepare a Pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Cook the Sugar and Milk:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and milk.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Let it boil for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture starts to thicken.
- Add Peanut Butter and Vanilla:
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract.
- Continue stirring until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Pour into the Pan:
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- If desired, sprinkle the top with chopped peanuts or chocolate chips for added texture and flavor.
- Chill:
- Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then transfer to the refrigerator to set for 1-2 hours.
- Slice and Serve:
- Once the fudge is firm, lift it out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut it into squares.
