It took the ants 2 minutes to find the ant killer and 5 minutes to fill up the dish, like in the picture.
To make ant killer, you’ll need:
1 empty water bottle (cut down to about 2″ tall)
5 tablespoons baking soda
5 tablespoons powdered sugar
3 tablespoons water
Instructions:
1. Mix the baking soda, powdered sugar, and water together until well combined.
2. Place small amounts of the mixture against the walls or other areas where you typically see ants but where you don’t walk.
3. The ants will be attracted to the sugar and will eat some of it, as well as collect more to take back to their colony.
4. Once the ants ingest the baking soda, it will react with the formic acid in their stomachs, causing gas to build up.
5. Since ants can’t eliminate gas like humans, it will eventually eliminate them.
6. Remember, powdered sugar is essential for this recipe. The ants won’t be able to separate the powdered sugar from the
7. baking soda, ensuring they ingest both ingredients. This is crucial for the ant killer to be effective.
