- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup chunky salsa
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Tortilla chips or crackers, for serving
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, salsa, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, 1 cup of Monterey Jack cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), and salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the mixture into a 9-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses on top of the dip.
