1. Cook the Pasta
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Cook the Chicken
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and ranch seasoning mix.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
3. Make the Creamy Sauce
- Add the cream cheese and chicken broth to the skillet with the cooked chicken.
- Stir until the cream cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and stir until it melts into the sauce.
4. Combine with Pasta
- Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss to coat it evenly with the creamy sauce.
5. Add Bacon and Cheese
- Stir in the crumbled bacon, reserving some for garnish.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese over the top.
6. Serve
- Garnish with the remaining crumbled bacon and sliced green onions.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
