Instructions

  1. Prepare a Pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. Cook the Sugar and Milk:
    • In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and milk.
    • Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
    • Let it boil for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture starts to thicken.
  3. Add Peanut Butter and Vanilla:
    • Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract.
    • Continue stirring until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour into the Pan:
    • Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
    • If desired, sprinkle the top with chopped peanuts or chocolate chips for added texture and flavor.
  5. Chill:
    • Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then transfer to the refrigerator to set for 1-2 hours.
  6. Slice and Serve:
    • Once the fudge is firm, lift it out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut it into squares.
