Easy Spring Roll in a Bowl Recipe


  • 450 grams ground sausage
  • 6 cups coleslaw mix
  • 4 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon chopped ginger
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • Optional: sriracha for serving


  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage. Stir frequently to prevent it from breaking apart. Cook the sausage until it’s fully cooked. Do not drain the fat.
  2. Add the coleslaw mix, crushed garlic, chopped ginger, and soy sauce to the skillet with the cooked sausage. Stir well to combine and cook until the cabbage in the coleslaw mix is heated through.
  3. Allow the mixture to cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the cabbage has slightly softened. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  4. Once the cabbage has reached the desired level of tenderness, remove the skillet from the heat.
  5. To finish the dish, sprinkle the chopped green onions over the mixture and drizzle with toasted sesame oil. Give it a gentle toss to evenly distribute the flavors.
  6. If desired, you can add a touch of sriracha to each plate before serving for an extra kick of heat.
  7. Serve your delicious spring roll in a bowl immediately and enjoy the flavors and textures!
