Hamburger Rice Casserole ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿš

Ingredients:

๐Ÿ”ธ 1 pound ground beef

๐Ÿ”ธ 2 cups (370 g) long-grain white rice, uncooked

๐Ÿ”ธ 2 cans (10.5 ounces each) French onion soup

๐Ÿ”ธ 2 cans (10.5 ounces each) beef consomme

๐Ÿ”ธ ยฝ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, sliced into pats

๐Ÿ”ธ Chopped chives, for garnish (optional)

๐Ÿ” Directions:

1๏ธโƒฃ Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 425ยฐF (220ยฐC). Spray a 9ร—13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

2๏ธโƒฃ Brown Beef: Over medium heat, cook the ground beef in a skillet until no longer pink, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess grease.

3๏ธโƒฃ Layer Beef and Rice: Place the cooked beef in the baking dish, then evenly spread the uncooked rice on top.

4๏ธโƒฃ Add Soups: Pour both cans of French onion soup and beef consomme over the rice. Stir gently to mix.

5๏ธโƒฃ Top with Butter: Arrange butter slices evenly over the rice mixture.

6๏ธโƒฃ Bake Covered: Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and continue baking for another 30 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
