Instructions:
Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and allow the dish to cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
Cook the Pasta: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until it is slightly firm (al dente). Drain the pasta and set it aside.
Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until soft. If you’re adding chicken or beef, cook it with the onion and garlic until browned. Add the tomato sauce and season with salt and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 5-10 minutes.
Mix Pasta and Sauce: Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce in a large bowl. Add half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, stirring everything together.
Assemble: Grease a baking dish and spread the pasta mixture evenly. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.
Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is golden and bubbling on top.
