No baking, no sugar and in 5 minutes! Healthy energy bars for dessert!

Greetings to all! Today, we embark on a culinary journey to prepare a delectable and wholesome dessert. With the fusion of Mediterranean flavors, we’re crafting Date Bars that promise both indulgence and nourishment.

Recipe Steps:

  1. Prepare the Dates:
    • Start with 7 ounces (about 14-15 dates) of high-quality dates. Remove the pits to ensure a smooth texture.
    • Soak the dates in 1 cup of warm water for 15 minutes. This softens them, making them easier to blend.
  2. Prepare the Base:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine 5.3 ounces (about 3/4 cup) of bulgur with the softened dates. Ensure the dates are thoroughly mashed into the bulgur.
    • Add 1.4 ounces (about 1/4 cup) of dried grapes, 1.8 ounces (about 2 tablespoons) of honey, and mix well. This forms the nutritious base of our bars.
  3. Add Nutty Goodness:
    • Incorporate 1.8 ounces (about 1/3 cup) of crushed peanuts, 1 ounce (about 2 tablespoons) each of sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds, along with 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds. Mix these nutrient-rich additions evenly into the base mixture.
  4. Chocolate Infusion:
    • Melt 3.5 ounces of dark chocolate and drizzle it over the mixture. Allow it to cool for an hour, letting the flavors meld together.
  5. Finishing Touches:
    • Carefully cut the mixture into manageable bars. Decorate with pumpkin seeds for an extra crunch and visual appeal.
    • Refrigerate the bars for another hour to set properly.
