Our shower glass was a mess from soap scum, and store-bought cleaners didn’t work. I tried a DIY Bathroom Soap Scum Remover, and it’s never been cleaner!

You will need :

1 cup (240 ml) Distilled White Vinegar

1 tbsp (15 ml) Corn Starch

2 tbsp (30 ml) Dawn Detergent

Instructions:

1. Combine 1 cup (240 ml) of distilled white vinegar and 1 tbsp (15 ml) of corn starch in a microwave-safe container.

2. Microwave the mixture for 2 minutes.

3. After microwaving, add 2 tbsp (30 ml) of Dawn detergent to the mixture.

4. Pour the mixture into an empty spray bottle.

5. Liberally spray the glass doors and fiberglass pan at the bottom of your shower.

6. Set a timer for 10 minutes and run your exhaust fan to mitigate strong smells.

7. After 10 minutes, scrub the floor and glass walls with a sponge.

8. Rinse thoroughly with the showerhead and a spray bottle filled with water.

9. Dry all surfaces with a clean towel to avoid streaks.

Please note: if you have tile in your shower, try to avoid spraying the DIY mixture on the tile since vinegar can damage grout over time.
