1. Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Make the Brownie Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, and cocoa powder, stirring until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a thick dough forms.
3. Make the Peanut Butter Dough
- In a separate mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add the peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
4. Combine and Swirl the Doughs
- Take a small amount of brownie dough and peanut butter dough (about 1 tablespoon each), and gently press them together.
- Roll the combined doughs into a ball, allowing the two flavors to swirl together but not fully blend.
- Place the dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
5. Bake
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still slightly soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
