1. Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
2. Prepare the Chicken
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of the chicken with a little salt and pepper.
3. Make the Parmesan Coating
- In a shallow bowl, combine ½ cup Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried parsley.
4. Coat the Chicken
- Place the ranch dressing in a separate shallow bowl.
- Dip each chicken breast into the ranch dressing, ensuring it’s well-coated.
- Dredge the chicken in the Parmesan-panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere the coating.
5. Bake the Chicken
- Place the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup Parmesan cheese evenly over the chicken.
- Lightly spray the tops of the chicken with cooking spray or drizzle with a little olive oil for extra crispiness.
6. Cook
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the crust is golden brown.
7. Serve
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with extra fresh parsley, if desired.
