1. Make the Dough
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, or until foamy.
- Add the eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and red food coloring, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
2. Make the Cinnamon Filling
- In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.
3. Assemble the Cinnamon Rolls
- Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a 12×18-inch rectangle.
- Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough.
- Starting from the longer side, tightly roll up the dough into a log and slice it into 12 equal pieces.
4. Second Rise
- Place the sliced rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for another 30-45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
5. Bake
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
6. Make the Cream Cheese Frosting
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk, mixing until smooth and creamy.
7. Frost and Serve
