Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
2. Mix the Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar using a hand mixer or stand mixer. Beat until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
3. Combine the Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
4. Add Chocolate Chips and Rice Krispies
Gently fold in the chocolate chips and Rice Krispies cereal until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
5. Form the Cookies
Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Lightly press down the tops of the dough balls with your fingers or the back of a spoon to flatten slightly.
6. Bake
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked, but they will firm up as they cool.
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
