RICE KRISPIE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

2. Mix the Wet Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar using a hand mixer or stand mixer. Beat until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

3. Combine the Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.

4. Add Chocolate Chips and Rice Krispies

  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips and Rice Krispies cereal until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

5. Form the Cookies

  • Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Lightly press down the tops of the dough balls with your fingers or the back of a spoon to flatten slightly.

6. Bake

  • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked, but they will firm up as they cool.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
