- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Make the Biscuit Crust:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the milk until just combined. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently a few times. Roll out to fit a 9-inch pie dish, then press it into the dish.
- Brown the Sausage:
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Make the Gravy:
- Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir to combine. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Assemble the Pie:
- Pour the sausage gravy into the biscuit crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuit crust is golden brown.
- Serve:
- Let it cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm, and enjoy!
