Sautéed Asparagus and Mushrooms

Instructions:

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve warm as a side dish.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium-high heat.

Sauté the Mushrooms: Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until they are golden and tender. Season with salt and pepper.

Add Asparagus: Add the asparagus pieces to the skillet. Sauté for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the asparagus is bright green and tender but still crisp.

Add Garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant.

Finish the Dish: If using, drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Toss to combine and heat through.
