- 1. Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set it aside.
- 2. Cook the Pasta
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 3. Cook the Ground Beef
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add the onion and garlic to the skillet, and sauté until the onion is soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- 4. Prepare the Sauce
- Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- 5. Assemble the Casserole
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, the beef and tomato mixture, and 1 cup of shredded cheese. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- 6. Add the Topping
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
- 7. Bake
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 8. Serve
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
