Retro Recipe: Peaches & Cream Jello

  • 1 package peach-flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup canned peach slices, drained


  1. Dissolve the peach-flavored gelatin in the boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved.
  2. Stir in the cold water and let the mixture cool slightly.
  3. Pour half of the gelatin mixture into a mold or individual serving glasses.
  4. Refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until the gelatin is partially set.
  5. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  6. Gently fold the whipped cream into the remaining half of the gelatin mixture.
  7. Carefully spoon the creamy gelatin mixture over the partially set gelatin in the mold.
  8. Place peach slices on top of the creamy layer.
  9. Refrigerate until fully set, usually for a few hours or overnight.
  10. To unmold, dip the mold in warm water for a few seconds and gently invert onto a serving platter.
