Smoked Ham, Gruyere, Dijon Mustard Poppyseed Sliders on Fresh Baked Dinner Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 12 fresh dinner rolls
  • 1 pound smoked ham, thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces Gruyere cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the dinner rolls in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves intact.
  3. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the inside of both halves of the rolls.
  4. Layer the sliced smoked ham and Gruyere cheese on the bottom halves of the rolls.
  5. Place the top halves of the rolls on top of the ham and cheese to create sandwiches.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, poppy seeds, minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Brush the butter mixture over the tops of the sandwich rolls, making sure to cover each one evenly.
  8. Place the sliders on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the rolls are golden brown.
  9. Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
