How I use BICARBONATE to whiten JOINTS and TILES

The use of baking soda is now part of the daily habits at home to perform various household tasks.

In fact, we are talking about an ingredient that contains various properties, each one suitable for every corner of the environment!

Today, we’ll look at its application for blackened joints and for tiles , to get them clean and super shiny again.

For Getaways

When the joints of tiles start to get particularly dirty, it means that dust has found its favorite place to settle.

Steps must be taken immediately to prevent the dirt from building up day after day until its removal is really complicated.

In this regard, bicarbonate comes to our rescue, it will be enough to make a cleaning paste with hydrogen peroxide to have the joints like new!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 1/2 tablespoon (approximately) of hydrogen peroxide

You’ll need to put the baking soda in a small bowl and mix it with the hydrogen peroxide in order to make the mixture thick and even.

The consistency you’ll need to achieve is similar to a gel, so add either ingredient as needed.

Proceed by dipping a soft-bristled toothbrush into the mixture and scrub along all the tiles, being careful not to apply too much pressure or force the tiles too hard as you may stain them.

Beware! If you have marble or natural stone floors, you will need to use normal water and not hydrogen peroxide.

Well, at this point, leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse: the grout will be as good as new!

Perfect Tiles

As mentioned earlier, in addition to grout, baking soda is also a very suitable solution to get perfect tiles!

When they are dull, when they have stubborn stains or for older floors that need to be invigorated, you just have to rely on this fantastic ingredient.

All you have to do is fill a bucket with warm water and soak 1 tablespoon of baking soda in it. If you don’t want to give up a good scent, add 3 drops of essential oil of your choice.

You will see that the floor will be perfect!

Alternatively

As an alternative to the method we have just seen, there is another very interesting one that combines the cleaning action of the bicarbonate with the degreaser and the scent of the Marseille soap.

If you prepare this mixture, you will get a natural cleaner perfect for the most difficult floors like marble or wood.

Let’s discover all the steps together!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons Marseille soap
  • 500 ml water

If you have solid soap, you will need to dissolve the necessary amount of it in a water bath, then add the baking soda little by little and you will see that the mixture will be foamy.

Put the water in a bowl and pour in the baking soda and soap mixture, stir until everything becomes a single solution.

At this point, pour into a bottle that suits you and shake before use, you will need to put about half a glass in the bucket.

The floor will be shiny and super clean again!
